GOL Sala Smile Sao Paulo Lounge
The Sao Paulo Sala VIP Smile Gol Lounge is very good - well up to European standard, and surpassing anything on the United network, which is why it tends to be rammed full of United customers, which along with Swiss, TAP Air Portugal, United, and US Airways, make this lounge less of a calm experience late in the evening. Add in the passengers on Gol for whom this is the main international lounge, and it can be rammed.There are bright, large, glass doors opening into a large clean space: it was recently renovated, and which removed much of the garish bight colour scheme from the 1980s.
Seating consists of long, low sofas. These leather couches have seen better days, and are very uncomfortable, particularly if you are trying to work on a laptop. There are a couple of dining tables near the bar, and two more at the far end of the lounge if you need to sit upright.
Food
There is only basic finger food, nuts, and biscuits.
Bar
The bar is very basic, however there is at least a Cava for a sparkling wine, and one red and one white.
Spirits are very poor, with just four dusty bottles, of Campari, Gordons's Gin, and Red Label whisky. There are also a couple of bottles of unidentified Brazilian spirit.

By reception is a quaint wall of five payphones: very 1980s.
